Department of geology has established Broad Band Seismic Observatory on 25th Aug.,2009, under the Innovative Programme of UGC, New Delhi. The 120 Trillium Compact Seismometer  of Nanometrics of Canada   is purchased for Seismic Observatory. The seismic activities are recorded  through out the year. The seismic observations are coordinated with School of Earth Sciences, SRTM University Nanded .There are 568 events of local and global activities are prominently recorded in the observatory .The  observatory is visited by  many students, faculty members of colleges , SRTM University, Engineering Colleges, General Secretary of Association of Indian Universities and others
